Learn valuable organizing skills with a rapidly growing non-profit organization — 350Vermont. We are an independent state chapter of the international organization
350.org. Our mission is to unite a mass movement for bold solutions that both lift up Vermonters and cut down carbon — to be a national and global example for solving the climate crisis.
350Vermont seeks two interns to assist with the Stop the Fracked Gas Pipeline Campaign in the nation’s first state to ban fracking. Over the last two years this campaign has grown from the grassroots, and against all odds has successfully postponed the completion of over 50 miles of gas transmission pipeline. The campaign raises public awareness and mobilizes opposition to industry plans to expand fossil fuel infrastructure through Vermont. The Campaign Intern would work directly with 350VT to support outreach, research, and events. Based in Addison County, VT, and Burlington, VT.
This position requires someone with a commitment to and passion for the 350Vermont mission of building a local movement to stop the climate crisis. Our team is an inclusive and collaborative group that is committed to the principles of justice. We’re looking for an individual who is creative, hardworking, organized, dedicated, self-motivated, and a fast learner. For more information, please contact Maeve McBride, Coordinator of 350Vermont.
