Yes On I-732 Campaign Internship Announcement
Carbon Washington (YesOn732.org) is a non-partisan organization participating in
grassroots democracy. We believe in fostering an environment that cultivates leadership, is
empowering, and fun. Whether you are a member of our steering committee, staff, volunteer, or
interested citizen, we are committed to making our organization friendly and encourage you to
‘be your whole self’.
We are dedicated to bringing a revenue-neutral carbon tax to Washington State via
citizens’ initiative. Last year we collected over 363,000 from registered voters in Washington
State. This was more than enough to qualify I-732 to be put in front of the state legislature and, if
the legislature fails to act, the voting public. As the legislative session comes to an end we are
preparing to take this important issue to the voters in November of 2016!
Our proposal is modeled on British Columbia’s successful tax swap and we believe this is the best
way for Washington State to fight climate change and protect future generations.
