Department of Earth & Climate Sciences at San Francisco State

The Tree-Rings & Climate Group at San Francisco State University is looking for highly  motivated students for its MS program. This is a research master’s degree  in the Department of Earth & Climate Sciences. Research in the Tree-Rings & Climate Group focusses on three major projects: (i) building new reconstructions of past climate variability in western North America by sampling and analyzing tree-ring growth, (ii) developing new methods for extracting climate signals from tree-ring records, and (iii) building understanding of how climate and non-climate signals interact in the tree-ring record, so that climate signals can be more efficiently recovered.
