Just wanted to spread the word about summer internship positions at my renewable energy company, Galehead Development. These are flexible remote positions (can be Boston-based), and I had a great experience as an intern last summer. Galehead specializes in early-stage development of large solar and wind projects all over the US, which can involve everything from prospecting land to managing a project’s interconnection and permitting processes, researching green policy, analyzing markets, and more.
Here are the open internships:
- Development Intern: Aids in core practices described above (managing interconnection and permitting, liaising with vendors, market and policy research, etc.) – this is my current team.
- New Markets Intern: Looks into new technologies and infrastructure (green hydrogen, EVs, etc.) and aids the company’s strategy of breaking into those markets.
- Strategic Investments Intern (May 2024 Grad): Focuses on real estate acquisition and investment for renewables projects; primarily a financial analysis role.
Around this time last year, Avery Dunn ’21 also told me about this position and I was fortunately able to transition from an intern to a full-time role. I would really encourage students to apply, even if they feel like they don’t have much relevant experience. I would also be more than happy to chat with folks and/or give feedback on their resumes – just reach me at [email protected].
