The vegetation team at Hubbard
Brook Experimental Forest in
northern NH is looking for four
enthusiastic, physically fit, outdoor
oriented students to join our team
from 29 May – 17 Aug 2018. The job
entails 39 hour work week in the
woods and includes housing in a
cooperative setting.
This season, our main focus will be re-surveying tree sizes
in two long-term studies: Valleywide plots and Hemlock
demography plot. Lots of time in the forest with surprises
and mysteries to solve in these re-measures. We will also
occasionally be working on smaller projects investigating
round-leaved orchid demography and seedling survival for
sugar maple, red oak and white pine.
