There is an internship open with my program, the National Park Service’s American Battlefield Protection Program, this summer. Applications are due March 2, so not early enough for your funding, but since it is paid I am passing it along anyway. We do not work in parks, we give grants to state and local governments and non-profit organizations to preserve battlefield land through planning and acquisition. Conservation easements funded by the Land & Water Conservation Fund are one of our primary tools for preservation of both historic resources and green space.
