I N T E R N S H I P
D E S C R I P T I O N
To reach users of the Nooksack River, interns will be
responsible for developing interpretive displays,
signage, handouts, brochures, and hosting outreach
booths, presentations to rafting groups, river walks,
and salmon sighting events. Interns should have some
knowledge, or willingness to learn, about salmonids,
salmonid habitat, and stewardship ethics.
Qualifications:
● Dependable and works well within a team
● Strong passion for outdoor recreation
● Lift and carry 40 lbs
● Prior experience in environmental education
preferred.
Time commitment:
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts totaling 10-25
hours per week from June through September.

The Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association
(NSEA) is a nonprofit organization that strives to
recover salmon by engaging our community in
restoration, education and stewardship.
The Nooksack River Stewards Program is a
collaboration between the US Forest Service and
NSEA, this program is designed to provide
salmon-focused environmental educational
opportunities to recreational users of the upper
portions of the Nooksack River.
