About Alliance for a Green Economy:

Alliance for a Green Economy (AGREE) works for safe, affordable energy and the development of a green economy in New York State. AGREE was founded in 2011 by several organizations that had previously joined forces to stop a proposed nuclear power reactor in Oswego, NY. In forming AGREE, the groups agreed to work toward a transition to a carbon-free, nuclear-free energy system, based on the principles of economic, social, and ecological justice. AGREE has emerged as a leader in the movement for a renewable energy transition in New York. By building alliances across grassroots and community-based environmental and social justice organizations, AGREE helps groups work together on a broad platform for a sustainable and affordable energy system.
