The Farm @ VYCC is hiring!

If the farm is a wheel, the Post-Harvest Lead is the hub. Literally and
figuratively, the farm spins around this person. Every crop coming out of the
field, every CSA share leaving the barn, every young person hoping for time in
shady wash station interacts with them. This position is great for someone who
likes organization, systems, efficiencies, specialized tools, and being the
Farmyard DJ (optional but encouraged). A part of the dynamic Project Lead
cohort, the Post-Harvest Lead has the opportunity to play many roles around
the farm, but they will specialize in making sure the food that we send to our
Health Care Share recipients is clean, safe, and of high quality.

The Vermont Youth Conservation Corps’ Food and Farm Program is a dynamic youth
development, diversified agriculture and food security initiative. We
believe in the power that food has to connect us to the land, our community,
and each other. We engage young people in organic farming and culinary
education on our historic 400-acre campus in Richmond, Vermont where we
grow organically certified vegetables and pasture- raised chickens that are
distributed to more than 400 families through our nationally recognized Health
Care Share program.
