Teaching Internship at the Field Academy

Location: Upper-Midwest Region

Dates: June 25-July 29 (including orientation and end-of-program debrief)

Spend your summer traveling across the Midwestern United States with a class of high school students as they deeply explore issues of food, justice, place, and identity.  The Field Academy seeks individuals with backgrounds in experiential education, trip-leading, social justice, and environmental studies who are interested in joining our teaching team for the summer.  Experience and interest in working as part of an organization exploring the complexities of identity, power, and justice is required.  Our student body hails from all across the United States and we are looking to build a staff team that also speaks to the diversity of this country.  This position will be responsible for teaching classes, trip-leading logistics, facilitating conversations/experiences with a variety of community partners, and all of the other amazing things that are a part of co-leading a program of twelve students between the ages of 15-18. Housing, food, transportation during the experience are covered by the program.  Transportation costs to and from the program, however, are not.  To learn more and apply, please email a brief letter of interest and resume to [email protected]
