2023 ener-G-save Summer Internship

 

The ener-G-save Community First Partnership (CFP) program in Pittsfield has an opening for a
summer intern. As the summer intern you will assist our Energy Advocate with various forms of
community outreach with the goal of increasing community participation in energy efficiency
programs. The position will include tabling at mostly outdoor events, educating people about
Mass Save program offerings, and helping people enroll for Home Energy Assessments via an
online web portal.
The ideal candidate will have some background knowledge of energy efficiency frameworks and
state and federal net-zero carbon reduction goals and policy initiatives. Experience with public
speaking and event organizing, as well as some spanish language proficiency would be
beneficial. May require work on weekends and evenings. Must have own housing and vehicle
for transportation. Strong communication skills and computer proficiency will be required as this
position will be the point of contact for many sectors of the community including homeowners,
renters, low and moderate income folks, small business owners, municipal employees and
community organizations.
