CES’s Pollinator Potential Project and Williamstown Farmers Market Internship

CES is sponsoring a full-time summer internship for 8-10 weeks (dates flexible, can be separated) providing a two-fold opportunity to delve into local environmental and agricultural issues.

This year, the summer intern will continue and expand upon the Fall 2017 project by three Williams College seniors, entitled “Pollinator Potential: Mapping Pollinator Friendly Land in Williamstown.” The intern will conduct additional research and initiatives geared toward making both the Town of Williamstown and Williams College more pollinator friendly environments.

The intern will also serve as an assistant at the Williamstown Farmers Market (WFM), promoting and managing the weekly Saturday markets at the base of Spring Street. Tasks include interacting with vendors, staffing the market information booth, arranging musicians and special events, and updating the market’s Facebook page and website. If an intern has special interests relating to the farmers market, these can be pursued as well.

For more information, contact Sarah Gardner (CES) at [email protected] and Anne Hogeland (WFM) at [email protected].

Students can apply for CES funding for this Internship.
