Williamstown Farmers Market Internship

For the sixth year in a row, CES is sponsoring one part-time or full-time summer internship for 8-10 weeks (dates flexible, can be separated into two segments) providing an opportunity to delve into local environmental and agricultural issues at the Williamstown Farmers Market (WFM).

The intern will serve as the assistant manager for the Williamstown Farmers Market, promoting and operating the weekly Saturday markets at the base of Spring Street. Tasks include interacting with vendors, staffing the market information booth, arranging musicians and special events, updating the market’s Facebook page, website, and Instagram, and creating promotional materials. If an intern has special interests relating to the farmers’ market (such as developing initiatives from other markets, understanding the local agricultural economy and food accessibility issues), these can be pursued as well.

For more information, contact Sarah Gardner (CES) at [email protected] or Anne Hogeland (WFM) at [email protected].

Students can apply for CES summer grant funding for this Internship (application deadlines for these grants are March 15th and April 5th), and are encouraged to apply for this position as soon as possible.
