Seeking Market Coordinator, May-October 2022
If you would like to become involved with a vibrant and important Williamstown community organization, support local farmers and food producers, and spend time in a lively environment contributing to the success of the Williamstown Farmers Market, we are looking for a Coordinator to supervise outdoor market operations this year each Saturday from May 14 through October 22.
The Williamstown Farmers Market takes place in the Spring Street parking lot and is a destination for residents, seasonal residents, and tourists. The continued growth and popularity of the market over the last several years has made it a gathering space for people of all ages who come to shop, meet friends, listen to music, and enjoy a tasty breakfast or lunch in a lively atmosphere.
The Market Coordinator will plan for and supervise market operations on Saturdays throughout the season. Tasks include overseeing weekly market set-up, operation, and break-down, interacting with vendors and customers, staffing market info booth, implementing safety protocols, and supervising interns and volunteers. Hours are primarily Saturdays 6:45am-1:45pm, with mid-week communications and social media postings to prepare for the upcoming market day. Job sharing may be possible, over the season or during market days.
Stipend: $150/week
