JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Well installation, aquifer testing, and groundwater monitoring;
- Environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permit acquisition;
- Perform field investigations, environmental/ecological assessments, construction support services or other field work as assigned; and
- Complete data reduction and analysis tasks.
The selected candidate will perform assignments under the supervision of senior engineers and project managers and may be expected to perform tasks in other company practice areas as needed. Tasks will be designed to develop knowledge, skills and abilities in these technical disciplines and the business of professional consulting services
REQUIREMENTS:
Preferred candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in geology or related physical science, or engineering from an accredited college or university.
Experience with construction quality assurance inspection and management, contamination assessments, soil and groundwater sampling, soil borings and monitoring well installation, surveying, or geotechnical materials testing, is a plus.
Candidates must possess a strong work ethic and perform record-keeping associated with duties; able to work independently and as part of a team.
The ability and willingness to perform fieldwork and travel for extended periods of time (i.e., up to several weeks) are also required. Candidates must be able to work outside regularly and be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 49 pounds unaided and 50-100 pounds with assistance and/or proper engineering controls. Evidence of a clean driving record is required.
Additionally, this position requires successful completion of 40 hours of OSHA health and safety training for working with potentially contaminated materials (provided, as needed), annual 8-hour refresher courses, first aid training (every two years), CPR training (every two years), and biennial medical monitoring.
